Week 1 - Introduction Blog

 Hello!

You have arrived at my blog spot. Welcome aboard! You will find me making posts related to the course content as we go along this term. As far as blog experience goes, I have done this before for another course, so I am familiar with what blogs can look like. I am by no means an expert, and I am willing to take any feedback handed to me as well. 

Before getting into my [small] network experience, I will give a quick introduction. My name is Jaden. You can call me Jay as well. It doesn't particularly matter to me. One of the things about me is that I like tinkering and optimizing computers when presented with the chance. I still have much to learn and research, but I have learned a lot even in the past 4-5 years. On my computer, I typically do coursework, watch YouTube, watch Twitch, play video games, and even stream on twitch myself. I also like to try different mice and keyboards for fun. I have built/helped build around a total of 6 computers. Besides tech, I am into music and looking to learn how to play an instrument someday. I also like going out with my friends and family and exercising

As far as networking goes, I haven't done anything that impressive at all. I have done a few things to make my computer respond faster on networks though. One of the things I did was set up a DNS connection on my computer using Google's DNS to make browsing a bit more snappy. I have also used an orbi to extend the network in my home. Using the orbi + an ethernet cable makes the network experience that much better as well. Outside of the basic use of VPNs and small network modifiers, I don't have much experience. Looking forward to learning more this term though!
